| The thing about kidney stones is....
They suck. | | |
| The truth of the matter is...
Nobody cares if you listened to Bright Eyes before they were cool.
Nobody cares if you find Sylvia Plath "so relatable".
Nobody cares if you buy all your clothes at thrift stores.
Nobody cares if you don't buy all your clothes from thrift stores but they look like you do.
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares what song lyric your username or bio are from.
Nobody cares if you own a polaroid camera or if you use it.
Nobody cares if you only drink your coffee black or if you only drink herbal teas.
Nobody cares if you've read Perks of Being a Wallflower 73 times.
Nobody cares what two colors you dyed your hair this time.
Nobody cares if you only go to the undiscovered, sushi bar, not the trendy one.
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares if you stopped listening to The Decemberists because they "sold out."
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares if you do slam poetry.
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares how many concerts you've been to in tiny, little venues.
Nobody cares how long you've been a vegan.
Nobody cares how old your converse sneakers are.
Nobody cares if you haven't listened to the radio in four years.
Nobody cares if you're Miranda July's biggest fan.
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares how many times you've seen Juno.
Nobody cares if you refuse to see Juno because it's become to mainstream.
Nobody cares how many tattoos you have.
Nobody cares how many times you've gotten God knows what pierced.
Nobody cares if you paint.
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares if people you don't like happen to like the same bands you do.
Nobody cares.

| I don't know if anyone still reads this. Probably not. The truth is, my life isn't all that fascinating to me so I don't feel inclined to write about it very often. I've been thinking a lot lately. The orange blossoms are everywhere and that always makes me feel like it's summer and summer has always been a time of self reflection for me. I'm almost 20. I have no ties. I want a change. I want to go somewhere and do new things. I want to take classes and join book clubs and travel everywhere from Kansas to France. I want to experience life. I want to be bold. Amelia said "Fears are paper tigers" and even though she and her plane were lost, at least she dared to face those tigers. She tore them to shreds and flew into the confetti. I want to do that. | | |
| "Thought I'd been in love before But in my heart I wanted more Seems like all I really was doing Was waiting for you" -John Lennon
I know exactly what you mean, Mr. Lennon. Exactly what you mean.
